AdvocureNF2 Funds NF2 Research for 2015 – FINAL

With over $100K monies raised from The 10th Annual Halloween Bash in 2014, proceeds went to re-support the NF2 research projects of 2014. Their studies had shown much improvement and direction to find a cure for NF2.

These projects were:

  1. Synodos CTF
  2. Cristina Fernadez-Vale, Pharmacokinetic Studies for Drugs of Interest in Treatment of Neurofibromatosis Type 2
  3. Long-Sheng Chang,  Natural Compound Silvestrol Study to Treat NF2-associated Tumors
  4. Chungling Yi, Immortalization of Human Schwannoma Cells Using Conditioned Cellullar Reprogramming Technology
  5. NF2 State of The Art at NYU

AdvocureNF2 would like to give a very huge THANK YOU to Roland Thoms and his family for dedicating time, money and effort to yearly plan and execute a successful fundraising event, the Halloween Bash. It is undoubtedly from his fundraising event that AdvocureNF2 was able to continually deliver its mission to expedite NF2 research.

So it is with great sadness to announce that Roland Thoms will be stepping down as Board member and Director. Please visit him at his Facebook Page to thank him for the works he does for NF2 Research. The Halloween Bash will still continue throughout the years. All monies raised will go to support Synodos, an NF2 focused initiative with the goal of speeding up the drug discovery process.
