2014 Halloween Bash Raises Funds for Research

AdvocureNF2 is thrilled to announce that this year’s Halloween Bash brought in $25,000! Additionally, Roland Thoms’ family will once again match the donation amount plus more with $50,000! A special thank you to Roland Thoms, the sponsors and guests for their extraordinary efforts to raise much needed funds for NF2.

The Halloween Bash is the signature event of AdvocureNF2, to raise awareness of the disease and much needed funds for NF2 research. All funds raised are awarded to research projects aimed at stopping or shrinking tumor growth.

This is the final Halloween Bash supporting AdvocureNF2. All future Halloween Bashes will help fund Synodos at Children’s Tumor Foundation.

2014 Halloween Bash Recap

On October 18th 2014, Roland Thoms of AdvocureNF2 and Varsity Painting hosted the Annual Halloween Bash, now in it’s tenth consecutive year. The Bash took place at BLU42 Sports Lounge in Walnut Creek, California.

This year’s theme was Superheroes and the 70’s, with the Superheroes’ theme also being promoted through the Halloween Bash Tumor Fighting Superhero contest to win a $500 Visa Gift Card.

Music was provided by STUNG, who performed classics by Police, and Super Diamond, who performed classics by Neil Diamond.

A raffle and auction were also set up; one of the items up for auction was a blanket handmade by Holly Alonzo who has NF2. Holly Alonzo lost both her sight and hearing due to the disease. Her blanket was auctioned off at $1300! Thank you Holly for submitting your blanket.
